Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of GuessCountry (guesscountry.com), operated by TOMY s.r.o., Vodárenská 4610/106, 921 01 Piešťany, Slovakia (“we”, “us”). By using the website you agree to them.

1. The games

GuessCountry offers free geography games. No payment and no account are required to play. We may change, add or remove games and features at any time. We do our best to keep questions and facts accurate, but we cannot guarantee that every piece of content is error-free – if you spot a mistake, please tell us.

2. Accounts and nicknames

Accounts are optional and only needed for leaderboards. You must be 16 or older to register. Your nickname must not:

• be offensive, vulgar, hateful, discriminatory or sexual,
• impersonate another person, brand or organisation,
• contain personal data (such as a phone number or email) or advertising.

We may change or remove nicknames and group names that break these rules and suspend accounts in serious or repeated cases. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure.

3. Fair play

Leaderboards are only fun if they are fair. You must not:

• use bots, scripts or other automated means to play or submit results,
• manipulate game data, scores or timers, or tamper with requests sent to our servers,
• use multiple accounts to gain an advantage,
• exploit bugs instead of reporting them, or disrupt the website or other players.

We may remove results that we reasonably believe were achieved by cheating and suspend the accounts involved.

4. Intellectual property

The website, games, texts, questions and design are protected by copyright and belong to us or our licensors. You may share your results and links to the games, but you may not copy the questions or the website in bulk or reuse them commercially without our permission. Map data comes from Natural Earth (public domain); see the Legal notice for other credits.

5. Availability and liability

The games are provided free of charge “as is”. We do not guarantee that the website will always be available or free of errors, and we may interrupt it for maintenance. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of game progress, scores or streaks (which are stored on your device) or for indirect damage. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where this is not permitted by law, for example for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

6. Privacy

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always published on this page with the date of the last update.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence. Disputes will be decided by the competent courts of the Slovak Republic, without prejudice to your statutory rights as a consumer.
